Boudin Cook-OffBoudin Cook-Off
As folks in South Louisiana know, Cajun boudin sausage is a delicious blend of rice, pork, and spices injected into a natural casing and served everywhere from the fanciest restaurants to gas stations in the country.  One thing is for sure, boudin is some of the finest Cajun food you'll ever eat.  While most locals believe that they know where the "best" boudin is made, no one has yet attempted a comprehensive taste guide to all the boudin in South Louisiana and beyond.  The BoudinLink is THE GUIDE to boudin.
The BoudinLink continues to expand with each new boudin location reviewed and rated. Click on the Link to read the full review, see pictures, and get a map.

Note:  We have gone out of our way to find the places in Acadiana, and across the country, that make their own boudin.  Although we may rate one link higher than another, taste is on the tongue of the boudin consumer.  Each link is different and each boudinier has their own secrets.  They are all worth your while.  Go with your own taste.

Here they are: All on one giant map!  These are the places where you can find boudin in South Louisiana:

Frequently Asked Boudin Questions
Your Self-Proclaimed Boudin Critics:
This project sprang from Dr. C and Coach T's commitment to enjoying the subtle differences found in all the boudin of South Louisiana.  Early each Saturday morning they venture out in one or the other's car, usually with Dr. C's family dog in the back, eagerly anticipating their early morning link.  They stop at a local gas station for a large fountain drink and then purposefully make their way to a local boudin purveyor. Their analysis of the various links of boudin is based on experience and passion.
The Linksters
Coach "T" - Coach "T" is a high school administrator,, teacher, and coach.  Born and raised in "The Berry," he graduated from  UL Lafayette and now lives in Lafayette with his family.  Coach T was raised on boudin.  Legend has it that he moved right from the bottle to the link, skipping all other forms of baby food.
Dr. C- Dr. C is a native of Washington State and has lived in Louisiana for ten years.  He resides in Lafayette and is a professor at UL Lafayette. Dr. C ate his first link of boudin in the front seat of someone's car in the parking lot of a meat shop in Broussard, LA on his second day in the state.  He's recently trained  his dog to balance a link on her snout.
