2017 Boudin Cook-Off Receives Recognition – Top 20 Events!

PrintThe 2017 Boudin Cook-Off, Louisiana’s premier boudin event, received much deserved recognition as one of the Top 20 Festivals and Events in the Southeast (a 12 state region) from the Southeast Tourism Society.  The annual event is commemorating its 10th Anniversary with the festivities scheduled for October 21 in downtown Lafayette. The Boudin Cook-Off distinguishes itself as a family friendly event that is inclusive of boudin makers from everywhere and anywhere in Louisiana and beyond.  Follow the cook-off on Facebook and through the website: www.boudincookoff.com.

The Boudin Cook-Off is a Cajun food festival devoted to boudin (Louisiana’s extraordinary pork and rice sausage) and other Cajun foods. This daylong, free, and family-friendly event celebrates Louisiana’s unique culinary culture with great food, live music, free kids activities, boudin themed games, free ice cream sandwiches and a boudin eating contest. Come taste why Gourmet Magazine ranked the Boudin Cook-Off as a top ten food festival in the United States. For this year’s tenth anniversary, there will be five new boudin themed games, an expanded boudin eating contest and new boudin dishes unveiled exclusively at the event. One lucky participant will win FREE boudin for a year!

Organizers are busy lining up boudin makers from across that state and are coordinating a number of new features to ensure that 2017 is the best cook-off yet!  They’re also eager to bring on new sponsors to help marshal the resources necessary to make it all happen on that glorious Saturday in October!
